Keen for seasonal work or more? There’s heaps of work available in the Kiwifruit Industry. Over the next few years, orchards are expected to produce more kiwifruit and now is a great time to get involved in this awesome industry and get paid for it.

 

Applying for a kiwifruit job?
Use our industry rundown below to ensure you’re ready: 

  • The kiwifruit harvest runs from March – June and both short and long-term job options are available.
  • There’s heaps of kiwifruit roles in the orchards and packhouses available at different times – find one that best suits you here
  • Seasonal work is available for up to 46-48 weeks a year.
  • Kiwifruit work is a great way to get social, fit and make some cash. Our recent testimonials say it all!  
  • Kiwifruit work is available in the Bay of Plenty, Auckland, Northland, Hawke’s Bay, Poverty Bay, Waikato, Coromandel and the Tasman region. Find work and places to explore in your area here.
  • To be eligible for work in NZ you must be an NZ citizen/resident or hold a valid work visa. Speak with Immigration NZ about any work visa questions you have. 
  • To start work you’ll need some identification such as your drivers license or passport, an IRD tax number and a NZ bank account set up.
  • The minimum age to apply for work in the industry is 16.
  • It’s important to do research into employers to make sure you find one that best suits you! Use our list of employers below as a guide and contact them about your questions or to make an application. 
  • Some employers can provide transport and accommodation so have a chat with them about your options. You can also look for places to stay and ways to get around here.
