It outlines who the workers were, where they came from, and the roles they held across orchards and packhouses. Overall satisfaction was high, with most respondents feeling positive about pay, conditions, and the availability of work. The survey also highlights common challenges such as fatigue, timing of shifts, health issues, and other personal commitments, along with clear preferences for consistent hours and workdays. These insights help inform NZKGI’s Labour Attraction Strategy and ongoing efforts to improve the seasonal worker experience.
