One of NZKGI’s core roles is to represent the views of Growers, including to national and local/regional government. In this light, NZKGI has produced a discussion document, Regulatory priorities for New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers. While the document is not exhaustive, it is designed to focus on areas of importance at this time. These includes the Resource Management Act, Recognised Seasonal Employer Scheme, Education, Māori Land Court administration, Access to agrichemicals and Biosecurity.
