The submission expresses:

  • Broad support for reform – we support the overall intent of the Bills to improve efficiency, simplify processes, and reduce duplication across the regulatory system.
  • Access to tools remains important – ensuring growers can access effective and lower-risk crop protection tools is key to maintaining productivity, meeting export standards, and improving environmental outcomes.
  • Some ongoing challenges – delays in approvals and limited availability of new products continue to affect growers’ ability to adopt innovation.
  • Focus on practical delivery – we emphasised that successful implementation, including better coordination, faster timeframes, and continued engagement, will be critical to achieving the intended benefits.
